TMZ recently caught up with former Titans and Jets running back Chris Johnson at Los Angeles restaurant Katsuya. Johnson had been dining with former teammate Vince Young and expressed an interest in joining the Cowboys:
“I’d fit good in Dallas,” Johnson said. “They need it. Yeah. That’s what we’re trying to do.”
Several teams have reportedly expressed interest in Johnson and while Dallas appears poised to move forward with Darren McFadden, Joseph Randle and Ryan Williams, the addition of Johnson would provide some additional backfield depth for a long 16-game season.
In a conference call with season ticket holders Dallas Cowboys Executive Vice President said the interest was mutual, although a deal was not imminent per Jon Machota of the Dallas Morning News:
So… until then as Johnson says: “Dallas, come holler at me.”
